Appraisals

APPRAISALS: PERSONAL, CONFIDENTIAL
& INDEPENDENT

The appraisal of your tangible assets forms the foundation for our all our services, including Advisory and Tangible Asset Management. Current values enable our team to advise you on managing risk and maximizing the value of your object or collection.

PMAA provides appraisals for a wide range of purposes, the most common being for Insurance, Taxation & Probate, Trusts & Estates, Donation, Family Division and Divorce, Sale on the Open Market or Art as Collateral. In addition, PMAA specializes in complicated and unique appraisal scenarios such as Fractional Interest and Leaseback.

A PROCESS TAILORED FOR YOU

Through preliminary, in-depth discussions, we establish your goals, expectations and specific requirements to tailor our services to achieve your objectives. PMAA provides clients with an independent, white-glove service for navigating today’s complex art market.

Our team will work with you, your financial advisors, your family and your team to confidentially inspect and catalogue your objects. As an independent appraisal firm, our team of over 75 specialists are uniquely qualified to provide values and have inside industry knowledge from global, national and regional markets.

QUALIFICATIONS

All of our appraisers adhere to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP), the only set of standards that govern the appraisal profession. The IRS requires that appraisals be completed by USPAP compliant appraisers and that all appraisals submitted include a specific set of requirements.

In addition to being USPAP compliant, all of our appraisers are members of at least one of the three major appraisal associations: the Appraisers Association of America (AAA); the International Society of Appraisers (ISA) and the American Society of Appraisers (ASA).
