Marketing & Business Development Fellow
The Fine Art Group is an international, independent art appraisal and advisory firm that offers hands-on internships and fellowships for college students and recent graduates on a rolling basis. Our program provides the opportunity to learn about the art world while working alongside our team of experienced advisors.

We are looking for college students and recent graduates for our Greater Philadelphia area office on a FT basis to work within our US base of operations in Conshohocken, PA – just across the street from the SEPTA line. This is a long term fellowship (6-12 months), with an eye to cultivating the potential for full time entry level employment for the right candidate.

QUALITIES WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Have a keen interest in the art and collectibles market
- Have an outstanding work ethic, know how to prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
- Thrive working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects on tight deadlines
- Is a team player, takes initiative and comfortable working independently
- An effective communicator and not afraid to ask questions
- Enjoys problem solving
- Experienced with Adobe InDesign/Photoshop, Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint/SharePoint
- Experience with WordPress, Mailchimp, Hootsuite a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Assist in production of marketing materials (presentations, proposals, etc.)
- Maintaining accuracy and organization of mailing list
- Taking notes during marketing meetings to distribute to team afterwards
- File management
- Assist in creating and scheduling social media posts
- Analyze and reporting marketing data from sources like Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Webinars
- Research keywords and hashtags for digital marketing channels
- Assist in copy editing and proof-reading all marketing materials
- Providing support for company events and conferences
- Admin support such as mailing materials, researching competitive services, uploading, and exporting data
- Minor video editing
- Project management, including related intern pool management
- Assist in managing TFG’s continuing education programs
- May include some appraisal and advisory support responsibilities such as: photo editing, cataloging and data entry

Appraisals Management Fellow

We are seeking a new Fellow to join our Fellowship Program and provide support to our Global Appraisals Team. This role will work directly with the appraisers and appraisals administrative team on all aspects of the appraisal process, including object and artist research, compiling appraisal reports, onsite visits and general administrative tasks. In-person position in our Conshohocken office is preferred, but virtual will be considered for the right candidate.

REQUIREMENTS
- Project Management: Skillful in organizing, implementing, and managing projects and tasks including multiple timelines and deliverables simultaneously.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal and conflict management skills
- Independent, pro-active, balanced approach with positive attitude under tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A keen interest and corresponding work experience and/or studies in Art and Antiques.
- Computer skills: Apple Mac OS, MS Office, Photoshop, and internet research
- Available to travel for appraisal jobs and research as needed (with advanced notice)

RESPONSIBILITIES are inclusive of but not limited to:
- Assist in the research, cataloguing and valuation of personal property which can range widely from fine art to wine, jewelry and general contents
- Maintain and update client database records
- Provide support for on-site client visits and appraisals
- Format and edit appraisal documents
- Photoshop, edit, and crop images
- Photograph art and objects
- Researching artists and writing biographies for appraisal use
- Working with the Administrative Coordinator and team of interns to manage appraisal projects

Art Advisory Fellowship
The Fine Art Group (TFG) is an international, independent art appraisal and advisory firm that offers hands-on fellowships for college students and recent graduates on a rolling-basis. Our fellowship provides the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in all the core elements of the art advisory division of the firm. The fellow will work directly with the extended art advisory team.

Knowledge of art history is essential and an academic specialization or practical experience in art advisory is a plus.

We are looking for college students and recent college graduates for our area staff on a FT basis. The position will provide support of art advisory management while working hand in hand with our team of experienced art advisors. This is a long term fellowship (6-12 months), with an eye to cultivating and creating a full time entry level employment opportunity at TFG at the end of this 12 month fellowship, for the right candidate.

We are looking for a Fellow who:

Jewelry Intern
The Jewelry Intern will support a quickly growing collecting category, the Luxury Division at The Fine Art Group - a fast-moving team with both national and international projects across all branches of the firm. Research, tracking, and regular collection review will be included regularly as well as work within the appraisal process.

The ideal candidate is a current or future candidate for a Graduate Gemologist degree in the Jewelry Industry, with previous experience with diamonds, colored stones, signed jewelry - preferred but not necessary. Some hands-on experience with the jewelry retail industry and/or working knowledge of contemporary, antique, and vintage jewelry is preferred, but not necessary. They should also have an outstanding work ethic, efficient time management, and be collaborative. They will collaborate with the Luxury Division teams and general operations to provide administrative and operational support.

We are looking for interns who:

- Have a keen interest in and knowledge of art, antiques & jewelry
- Are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and thrive managing multiple projects on tight deadlines

- A current or future candidate for a Graduate Gemologist degree in the Jewelry Industry

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist our Advisory team with reviewing auctions for possible acquisitions
- Assist with market reports
- Assist our Agency team with placement of pieces for sale
- Assist our Jewelry Appraiser with gemology work associated with the evaluation of assets including gem identification, carat weight calculation, grading, cataloging consigned property, researching authenticity, provenance and reviewing client inquiries to determine sale potential
- Assist our Jewelry Appraiser with research and catalogue of assets to assist in providing valuation for IRS (estate tax, gift tax, donation, etc.) and insurance appraisals
- Assist with client inquiries regarding appraisal services, consignments, and auctions
